Job Overview: A broad-based provider of cutting-edge seismic imaging technologies, services, and solutions for the global oil & gas industry, seeks a Business Development Manger to work with Oil & Gas companies in North America.

This global Company provide solutions that are used in the search for oil and gas, finding application on land, on the oceans' surface, and on the seabed. Their technologies are applied in traditional 2D and 3D seismic surveys and in rapidly growing areas like time-lapse 4D reservoir monitoring and full wave, multi-component data acquisition.

The Company has grown both organically and through acquisitions and have established an excellent reputation. They are leading the industry into the emerging digital, full-wave era, extending seismic applications across the E&P lifecycle, introducing consulting services that integrate seismic survey planning, acquisition, and processing, and designing innovative seabed acquisition solutions that significantly improve marine image quality.

Building upon the Company's long-term success, your primary responsibility will be to develop service demand with Oil and Gas companies in North America for full-wave seismic technologies. These advanced technologies address the E&P industry's most challenging seismic acquisition and processing conditions, helping them to unlock the full potential of challenging land or seabed environments.

Your main focus will be promoting the Company's award-winning digital, 3C, single-point sensor which are the essential elements in digital, full-wave seismic acquisition, enabling the full seismic wavefield to be acquired on land or from the seabed, and thereby resulting in noticeable improvements to final image quality.

Responsibilities:Reporting to the Director of the North America Region, this role encompasses many functions including:

  • Develop strong relationships with key technical and commercial personnel in Oil and Gas Companies.
  • Develop service demand with O&G companies for full wave systems and solutions through close collaboration with all the Company's business units.
  • Actively, identify new customers for 3C Sensor technology and coordinate activities within the company to develop your North American market.
  • Develop innovative sales plans and strategies that meet business objectives.
  • Provide visible and ongoing leadership within your accounts, scheduling regular client visits.
  • Promote and champion full wave technologies and solutions.
  • Provide competitor information to Business Development personnel.
  • Collect prioritised product/service requirements and communicate them to Business Units and Marketing Director.
  • Where relevant, coordinate activities with the Company's preferred third party contractors for account solutions.
  • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts.
  • Monitor and manage client account satisfaction, ensuring a high level is maintained.
  • Develop consistent sales presentations & materials for your accounts.

Preferences: The successful candidate will have:

  • Degree essential. Preferably in either in an Earth Science or business related subject. MBA advantageous.
  • Minimum of 10 years in the seismic processing or acquisition business essential.
  • The ability to champion and influence sales of full wave technologies within oil companies essential.
  • Experience of North American oil companies essential with established senior level relationships desirable.
  • Some consultative sales experience highly advantageous.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills as you will participate in executive level meetings with clients.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with both oil company and contractor personnel essential.
  • Experience across the disciplines of seismic acquisition, processing and/or interpretation highly advantageous.
  • Clear understanding of the upstream oil and gas industry and the ability to articulate value propositions to high-level executives in E&P companies essential.
  • Abilities in high-level problem identification and formulation of conceptual/technical solutions essential, preferably in the geophysical arena.
  • Strong commercial acumen - the ability to devise, monitor, manage and communicate sales plans and forecasts effectively.
  • Must be able to travel.
  • International work experience a plus.
  • Foreign Language (particularly Spanish) a plus.

Package: This is a senior level position and as such an attractive package is being offered. Depending on skills and experience, the candidate could expect a Base Salary of $130K-$150K and an on target earning (OTE) of $200K (US) plus.
