Title: Sales Director - EW/WS/681
Location: UK - Surrey OR US - Texas/Houston
Job Status: Permanent
Start Date: ASAP
Interview Date: ASAP
Open To: EU or US Nationals or relevant Work Permit Holders
Job Overview:
A Company established in 2006, leading the way in fibre-sensing technology that improves production and recovery from oil and gas reservoirs, seeks a Sales Director to assume accountability for creating and executing the Company's Sales and Marketing Strategy.
The Company secured over £10 million pounds of investment for the development of their pioneering technology solution that enables reliable and cost effective Permanent Reservoir Monitoring (PRM). Sensors are permanently installed on the seabed to provide information on the behaviour of the reservoir as it is being produced. Typically, oil companies are recovering 30 to 35% of oil reserves in place. Emerging technologies and techniques such as PRM will help push this to 50% or even 60%. BP, ConocoPhillips, Chevron and StatoilHydro are actively involved in a Joint Industry Project (JIP) with the Company, sponsoring the development and evaluation of the technology. With an increased global demand for oil, the PRM technique is growing in both momentum and further investments, paving the way for its success.
The Company has devised a leveraged business model based on a small, high calibre team and carefully selected partners who form part of their extended enterprise. Their R&D partner provides access to over 10,000 scientists and engineers, and their state-of-the-art laboratories and test facilities. Their manufacturing partner has a proven track record of building fibre-optic cables and sensors for commercial and defence applications. Their installation partner has experience of installing ocean bottom seabed arrays and performing seismic operations in all kinds of environments. Through and with these partners the Company has access to a vast range of capability and expertise, enabling them to compete with the largest oilfield services suppliers.
PRM is attracting significant interest for the industry and investors and the market is now at the point where the Company is building its Sales, and Marketing activities.
