 Lead Reservoir Engineer - Deepwater Developments - Houston, TexasA new vacancy has come to light for a global operator is looking for senior and lead level reservoir engineers to work on appraisal and development of new deepwater projects. The scope of the role will include GOM, West Africa and Brazil. You will be required to provide reservoir engineering expertise to the existing team and this will include but may not be limited to the following •Perform reservoir engineering and other technical studies and provide support to the exploration team •Evaluation of prospects including production forecasts and profiles •Development strategies for all new prospects to include probabilistic risk analysis. •Provide technical support to the maturing of prospective developments with the commercial team. •Support the drilling team with exploration and appraisal well •Provide support for data gathering and testing activities with complete integration into the subsurface department •Identification of possible business opportunities •An element of leadership and mentoring is required to ensure transfer of skills •Provide support to health and safety from a reservoir engineering perspective. Requirements •Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent •Significant experience working as a reservoir engineer, ideally with direct experience in appraisal/development activities •Advanced economics capabilities and experience with commercial economics packages including ARIES. •Exposure to exploration and risk analysis techniques. •Working experience in Gulf of Mexico Deepwater systems is highly desirable. •Ability to conduct a full range of engineering analysis (PTA, P/Z and detailed MBAL models, nodal, decline, WOR and other classical engineering analysis) and expertise in Petroleum Engineering software applications.
