 Exploration Geologist - Texas, USAMy client is an international operator, looking to secure an Exploration Geologist to join their Brazilian Exploration team. The successful candidate will have an MSc or PhD in Geology, and 2-7 years of active work experience in the oil industry or academia as a professional geoscientist. Good personal work efficiency, ethics, creativity, team-work and communication skills are essential qualifications, as is a desire to bridge interdisciplinary boundaries. This position will require international travel. The candidate is expected to have the following technical skills in order to perform satisfactorily in this posit ion: •Preferably experience in both carbonate and clastic depositional environments - both deep and shallow water; •Experience in core description and the evaluation of core data, including facies and process sedimentology interpretation; •Experience in sequence stratigraphic analysis and the application of this for predictive models. •Experience with seismic interpretation and the integration of geological well data and seismic data; •Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team; The following would be an advantage: •Ability to integrate sedimentary data with petrophysics, geophysics and engineering information; •Familiarity with standard industry software, especially Petrel and Landmark products; •Reservoir modelling experience; •An understanding of well site operations pertaining to planning and executing drilling, logging and coring operations •Knowledge of Portuguese would be advantage, but is not essential.
