![]() Reservoir Engineer - Major Operator - Aberdeen, ScotlandI have need of a Reservoir Engineer for a Major Operator in Aberdeen. My client is looking to secure the services of a talented reservoir engineer to join their highly integrated subsurface team of subsurface experts in their Aberdeen office. This is very much a classical reservoir engineering position. My client is one of the premier operators in Aberdeen and operates a significant number of large, high profile fields. Currently underway are significant development projects on a number of these fields. Following incorporation of 4D seismic data for additional well targets a significant numbe r of wells were drilling and drilling activities on two large development projects is to continue through this year with production expected to increase significantly. As well as this there is significant involvement in an HPHT gas field which should continue through appraisal this year. Currently exploration and appraisal activities are on-going in the West of Shetlands. The role is very much a classical reservoir engineering position with a slight bias towards field management and optimisation. Responsibilities: •All classical reservoir engineer associates with taking a field from appraisal to development. •Well performance monitoring and modelling including horizontal wells and the use of PVT data •Economics and risk analysis including probabilistic methods for re-drill and new well targets. •Evaluation of new projects •Calculating of field reserves using probabilistic and deterministic methods •Reservoir management - strategic and business planning •Participate/lead project teams for major issues (proposals, sales, acquisitions etc) •Work alongside technical expert on high capital, high impact projects. •Represent company at engineering committees. •Occasionally serve as expert witness. •All relevant documentation must be completed clearly and on time Technical Understanding needed •Reservoir Management techniques for a number of different reservoir types. •Technical strength in petroleum engineering •Experience in Reservoir Simulation and Reserves •Demonstrable Eclipse experience •Knowledge of project economics Requirements •Masters in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline •Operator experience essential •EU Citizen •Experience of working within multi-disciplinary teams and working across disciplines •Effective written and oral communication skills My client offers an excellent remuneration package and the option to move internationally in the future.
