 Senior Drilling Engineer - Houston, TexasI'm working closely with a Houston based Drilling Manager, to help him construct a talented Drilling & Completions team - the company's first venture into North America, after establishing offices in the UK, Norway, Dubai, Australia. The company's first move is to find a Senior Drilling Engineer to join them in early 2013, to hit the ground running and to be the centre piece of a new business unit which looks like having a huge amount of uplift over the next 5 years. Essentially, the company deliver operational solutions and support their clients to release the optimum value from their assets. There is a large amount of project management involved as they often handle the entire drilling phases for smaller companies who have technically challenging projects, but don't have the engineering resources to successfully design, execute and complete their wells. They are currently working with two strongly backed independent companies, but there are an array of other companies (independents and major operators) knocking on their door and asking for their expertise. They are looking to get 6 more Drilling Engineers on board next year alone to meet this growing demand. With regards to the position , you'll be playing a lead role in supporting a frontier Deepwater project offshore Namibia, which is an exciting long term operation which spuds in early 2013. Looking to the future, there will be array of future international operations to be involved with as their portfolio continues to grow. In addition to the initial position, there is a huge amount of career development on offer, with Project Manager & Wells Team Leader roles the natural progression over the next 2-3 years.
