Senior Reservoir Engineer - Expat, Europe - Bucharest, Romania



I have a new opening for a Senior Reservoir Engineer to be based in Bucharest with a mid-sized international operator. This is a fully expat position within Europe and a fantastic opportunity to grow and develop as an engineer whilst working on technically challenging projects within the confines of a highly integrated and technically advanced team.

My client is currently under going a significant recruitment drive in line with their new projects and developments coming through. As well as this Senior Reservoir Engineer there are a variety of vacancies including Senior Petroleum Engineer. You will work within fully integrated teams within reservoir studies, field development and development implementation team.

Lots of these positions are related to heavy oil projects so experience within this would be seen as a significant advantage. As well as this specific skills within Reservoir Simulation, Waterflooding and EOR techniques would be seen as advantageous.

Responsibilities
•Planning of Field Development Plans and optimisation projects including production optimisation tailored to the specific project. This includes mature field re-development and new field development.
•Reserves and Production forecasting including in place hydrocarbon volumes
•Update and construction of simulation models, including history match, decline curve analysis and well test design.
•Planning, monitoring and following up of long horizontal wells
•Use new technologies within reservoir engineering to improve field performance and reduce costs.
•Undertake studies for waterflooding within development scenarios as well as heavy oil studies and enhanced oil recovery projects as well as implementation of techniques.
•Reservoir Engineering risk analysis, decision analysis and auditing
•Coordinate and produce all relevant documentation
•Alignment with all other departments and projects.
•Reporting and presenting finding to senior management and company personnel.

Requirements
•University degree in Petroleum Engineering
•Significant experience n the industry with and operator or recognised consultancy.
•Fluent in written and spoken English
•Solid understanding of geological, geophysical, petrophysical, reservoir, well and production data
•Strong analytical approach and organisation skills to meet deadlines
•Extensive experience to classical reservoir engineering, well planning and well testing and all Reservoir Engineering Software
•Proven experience working within integrated teams.
•Excellent reporting and presentation skills
