![]() Lead Petroleum/Reservoir Engineer - City of London, EnglandI have a new position for a Lead Petroleum/Reservoir Engineer to be based in Central London working for a small, highly dynamic operator with a diverse international portfolio. My client is looking for technical expert within reservoir/petroleum engineering; someone who can drive forward development projects as well as being a part of a very active exploration team. Current focus is on West Africa and Caspian region and experience within these regions would be advantageous but not essential as long you strong operator experience This is very broad role and you will be expected to have a st rong understanding of all reservoir engineering software as well as being a creative individual able to take fields from early phase exploration to full production. You will need to appraise fields for possible development scenarios as well devise, develop and implement development scenarios. An understanding of G&G discipline would be an advantage. You would also be expect to provide support with bids/licensing round and possible farm ins/acquisitions so new business experience would be very advantageous. The ideal candidate will have strong operator experience with several geographical areas and would either work for larger company and be looking for more autonomy or already have independent operator experience. You will also need strong interpersonal skills as you will need to liaise with JV partners and local governments as well as present to senior management and stakeholders. Technical responsibility includes a technical input into each of the following •Reservoir characterisation (PVT, SCAL) •Production forecasts •Field development planning for economic analysis •Simulation modelling (dynamic and static including uncertainties) •Recovery factors •Risks and uncertainties •Provide input into investment proposals •Coach and mentor younger members of team •Peer assists and reviews •Technical insight and support for new business opportunities worldwide. •Provide technical support to exploration projects Required Technical Experience •A strong classical reservoir engineering background •Forecasts for production and economics •Reserve evaluation •Dynamic Reservoir Simulation but this is not a heavy modelling role •Field development planning •Uncertainty analysis My client is offering an exceptional remuneration package (many benefits including shares/stock) and the opportunity to work on world class projects.
