![]() Senior Reservoir Engineer - International Assets - Paris, FranceI am working with a Reserves and Reservoir Engineering Technical Manager looking to appraise and develop a number of fields in the South America and to achieve he needs to add to his team a Senior Reservoir Engineer. The company has assets across 3 continents and with significant investment behind them is looking to increase it production significantly over the coming years as well as increase reserves through organic growth and new business opportunities. The initial requirement is to focus on strengthening our position in the sector, by looking at new geographical areas with high development potential. The longer term goal is to achieve a significant increase in net entitlement reserves and currently there is a large amount of investment to achieve this. This is a very technical role, reporting to the South America Technical Manager. Initially this will be based in Europe but there is the possibility to move out South America in medium term if wanted or you can stay within the European office. Key Responsibilities •Gather and analyse reservoir engineering data required for simulation and field development (Static Reservoir Pressure, PVT, Well Test data, SCAL). •Assess key uncertainties of the proposed reservoir development to be studied as sensitivities in reservoir simulations. •Determination of a range in recovery factors and PVT parameters, to be used for Resource and Reserves assessment. •When required, construct dynamic reservoir models in line with geological thinking and history matched to reservoir production and well test information. •Determine a range in production forecasts for the purpose of development planning and annual company forecasts. This should cover the uncertainties including the corresponding range in producer and injector wells. •Input in development planning decisions such as timing of new wells, design of production facilities and duration of plateau rate. •Participate in the presentations to senior management, partners and government bodies, where appropriate. •When required, assist in new business evaluations or EOR related studies. •Coach junior reservoir engineers. Requirements •BSc in Petroleum Engineering, Physics or Chemistry as a minimum. •More than 10 years' experience as a Reservoir Engineer in a sub-surface environment. •Excellent understanding of geological concepts, rock and fluid characterisation •Knowledge and in-depth experience of modern Reservoir Engineering software applications. •Working knowledge in English is essential, working knowledge of Spanish will be well regarded Occasional business trips to South America will be required.
