 Senior New Ventures Geologist - City of London, EnglandMy client, a leading independent operator, is recruiting for an experienced Senior New Ventures Geologist to screen, evaluate and present new exploration areas that provides a strategic fit for my client. The New Ventures Geologist is be given the autonomy to take their work through initial new business screening to appraisal. The New Ventures Geologist will evaluate exploration opportunities to the highest technical standard and interpret a variety of geological data and integrate that data into the seismic interpretation to produce a complete subsurface evaluation. The New Ventures Geologist will identify and recommend potential new ventures exploration opportunities and participate in on-site technical evaluations. The New Ventures Geologist will identify and develop opportunities in priority focus areas using business contacts and competitive business information sources. Candidates will co-ordinate geological work and monitor outsourced geological projects and provide geological input for area and well reviews, and maintain updated geological interpretations and maps. Education and Experience - Bachelors degree in Geology or Geophysics; - Data Room Evaluation - Preparation of bids for upcoming licence rounds in target countries - Peer reviews to evaluate any potential farm-in opportunities. - Currently working as a Geoscientist in a similar role, with proven exploration experience; - Demonstrate experience in basin and play analysis, prospect generation, and volumetrics/risking; - Experience in performing risk/uncertainty assessments; The company strives for operational excellence in all areas and as such you will be a vital part in ensuring this is met.
