 Geophysical Advisor - Houston, TexasOur client is a highly regarded, rapidly growing and highly profitable geophysical problem solver, working with the leading operators globally on their most challenging projects. • Provide geophysical advice on all aspects of client's seismic imaging technology • Identify and evaluate technological upgrade paths for client's seismic imaging business by interpreting and mapping 2-D and 3-D seismic data utilizing PC-based and UNIX workstations • Assist the marketing and sales effort with technical presentations to clients • Advising operating groups on feasi bility of seismic processing projects and planning and executing approved projects • Assist with technical evaluations and develop workflow recommendations • Participate in writing and presenting technical papers, articles, and seminars • Work to enhance client's reputation in the marketplace by developing and maintaining associations and relationships with key technical personnel from our client base • Solve clients' processing and imaging projects as they are encountered throughout the lifetime of projects. Requirements: <--[Master's or PhD in Geophysical Sciences or closely related disciplines and/or 15 years direct industry experience in seismic data processing and project management <--Seismic interpretation skills <--Understanding of basic PreSTM and PreSDM theory and their application to 2D and 3D seismic imaging (15+ years working with these disciplines) <--5 years advisory function within the geophysical services industry <--Must have strong verbal communication skills as this role requires the individual to make technical presentations to clients To discuss this position and similar roles please contact Oscar Associates quoting reference TB 21777 |
