 Senior Completion Engineer - Onshore North American Shale - Houston, TexasMy client, a thriving operating company, has a new opening in their Houston team for a Senior Completion Engineer for their largest onshore shale project. Essentially, they are looking to find someone with a strong background of technical ability and operational management, but just as importantly, someone who is still highly motivated to improve themselves and others. They are looking for this individual to take the Eagleford/Permian Business Unit to the next level and give them the opportunity to either move up the ladder to a Managerial role in this unit or to work on their interna tional projects.Over the next 5-10 years, the company's plan is to exploit the gap between the Junior E&P companies and the Major Operators. To do this, they need to attract the best young engineers in the industry; fortunately, they are strongly financially backed and they are offering very attractive packages. Detailed Description - -Has the ability to formulate and develop advanced engineering concepts in carrying out assignments. - Under minimal supervision, applies advanced aspects of professional/technical discipline. - Manages oil and gas completions operations to maximize profits in assigned area. - Develops and implements short-term and long-term strategies for new well completions. - Develops completion, recompletion and workover plans for new and existing wells. - Provides recommendations to that optimize completion design. - Interfaces with team members concerning future development plans - Responsible for maintaining required safety training and compliance - Applies specialized knowledge to complete projects of complexity Job Requirements -Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline -Minimum of eight years experience in a completion engineering role, preferably with experience of onshore, shale operations. -Strong understanding of the completion, workover and production stages of oil and gas wells -Ability to organize, prioritize and make decisions under time restrictions The company strive for operational excellence in all areas and as such you will be a vital part in ensuring this is met.
