Offshore Projects Coordinator - Aberdeen, Scotland



A growing independent operator in the North Sea has approached us in order to identify an Offshore Projects Coordinator. The operator itself has an expanding portfolio of projects including a new build FPSO which will be used to produce an asset. With a strong financial backing and an ambitious management team, they are able to push forward with high value projects using cutting-edge technology that will allow them the ability to establish a long term foothold in the North Sea.

The Offshore Projects Coordinator will be working within the Brownfields offshore team and will be responsible for overseeing the de livery of third-party engineering parties in accordance with company policies and budgets. The role will also be responsible for supervising construction contractor work and ensuring that construction is carried out in line with company policies. Other duties associated with the role include;



•Ensuring that the safe systems of work are effectively applied through instruction,
supervision and good communications.

•Ensuring any change to planned work is managed effectively and in conjunction
with the engineering support team if technical data requires to be changed.

•Attending and having reasonable input to plan scheduling meetings.

•When required, to plan and prepare to execute requirements of inspection and
test procedures.

•Assessing actual % completion of work for planning and reporting purposes.

•Ensuring any change to planned work is managed effectively and in conjunction
with the engineering support team if technical data requires to be changed.

•Ensuring that the implementation of appropriate working procedures is strictly
adhered to.

•Taking steps to encourage the workforce to carry out their duties effectively and
safely.

•Attending and having reasonable input to safety meetings.

•Attending and having reasonable input to work methodology meetings.

•Conducting meaningful toolbox talks or ensuring that vendors conduct
meaningful toolbox talks.

•Investigating incidents and accidents involving personnel under his control.

•Investigating all 'near miss' situations reported by personnel under their control.

•Co-ordination between vendors and other parties.

•Co-ordinating between onshore projects, vendors, construction and operations.

•Monitoring and providing a report on activities on a daily basis.

•Ensuring permits are in place for all activities.

•Raising and Resolving Technical Queries.

•Surveying Job Sites for Potential Clashes.

•Anticipation the requirements for Services, Tools and Safety Equipment.

•Providing shift or end of trip Hand-over notes.

•Attending Meetings, as required, in connection with duties.

•Ensuring completion of all as-built documentation and certification.

•Managing and recording the handover of vendor scopes to operations.

•Co-ordinating the requirements for scaffolding, lagging, painting, civil type works
and input by other services and third parties.

•Ensuring that good working practices are observed.

•Conduct survey activities as required.

•All other offshore activities as directed by the engineering projects team.

•Liaise with OCS and ensure that offshore construction priorities align with the
onshore project team's expectations.

•Control and direction of project scaffolding team.


The successful candidate will have experience in an offshore supervisory role and have a proven track record for delivering multi-discipline, multivendor brownfield engineering projects. Experience within an operational environment would be advantageous, as would a strong educational background in a engineering discipline.
