 Senior Reservoir Geologist - AustriaMy client, an international operator, is looking for a Senior Reservoir Geologist to provide 3D reservoir geomodelling expertise for integrating subsurface studies and 3D static reservoir models which are the basis for the generation of field development plans, new production drilling proposals or enhanced field recovery schemes in order to boost oil or gas production and reserves. The Senior Reservoir Geologist will conduct technical HQ governance activities like peer reviews to ensure highest quality 3D geomodelling work during the opportunity maturation process. Performance of technical work - Collect subsurface field data, build project data bases and create workflows for reservoir modelling - Plan, manage, supervise or conduct multi-disciplinary field (re-)development studies and 3D reservoir modelling projects - Apply best practice 3D static modelling techniques & approaches to complex reservoir architectures - Integrate fluid, petrophysical and geophysical reservoir parameters in a closed loop modelling approach - Interpret seismic and seismic attributes for structural aspects and reservoir characterisation purposes - Take part in field and hydrocarbon-in-place evaluations as part of new venture activities - Review and evaluate HC production enhancement opportunities from mature fields - Identify and create drilling proposals for new production and injection wells from reservoir models - Ensure business process adherence, and G&G work quality by conducting peer reviews & quality checks - Publish best practice approaches and introduce new technology regarding 3D reservoir modelling Project management and organisational tasks - Coordinate and work within interdisciplinary project groups and monitor project progress and costs - Coordinate / liaise with related disciplines, industry partners, branch office staff and contractors - Organise peer reviews, data room visits, workshops, partner meetings, TCMs etc. - Train junior or branch or head office office staff in using reservoir modelling techniques My client aims for operational excellence in everything they do.
