 Project Coordinator - Dubai, United Arab EmiratesA leading engineering service and equipment provider has approached us in order to identify a Project Coordinator to work on a major long -term maintenance and refurbishment project. The position is based in Dubai. The individual will be in charge of monitoring project cost forecasts and P&L statements. They will be working closely with the project manager developing and maintaining detailed project schedules. They will have responsibility for coordinating and regulating meetings such as Project Progress Review Meetings and other key project meetings. Other responsibilities of the position include; 1 .Ensure project costs, profits, working capital and timeline targets are being met. 2.Ensuring that appropriate control procedures are in place. 3.Ensure that project performance is measured, reported and acted on including cost and profit forecasts through monthly statements that are monitored weekly. 4.Ensure that financial and commercial terms of the project are met. 5.Develops and maintains detailed schedules. 6.Holds regular Project Progress Review meetings and drives required adjustments as required. 7.Liaise with the customer on schedule and commercial matters. 8.Ensure projects are being managed within their cost budgets, through regularly monitoring and adjusting costs as required. 9.Ensure that invoicing is up to date and accurate including any change orders signed off by the customer. 10.Provide customer and Weir Management with project plans with costs and resource timings. 11.Travel to customer site as required. 12.Serves as a back up for Project Manager as requires. 13.Acts professionally with employees, contractors and customers to represents the company in a positive manner 14.Defining KPIs for project and reviews them on a regular basis- weekly, monthly, quarterly. 15.Adherence to deadlines, bonds, payment terms & conditions. 16.Enhance Score and Profitability of Contracts The successful candidate will have a strong background in Engineering Costing as well as a degree, or equivalent, education in an engineering related discipline.
