 Senior Exploration Geologist - Middle East Team - Copenhagen, DenmarkMy client, a leading international operator, is looking for a Senior Exploration Geologist to work in their exploration department with a focus in interests in Kurdistan. The Senior Exploration Geologist will be identifying and mapping leads and prospects for exploration drilling opportunities, including risking, volumetric assessment and economic viability. The candidate will be focused on regional geological studies and preparing for exploration bid rounds and supporting farm-ins and acquisition initiatives. Experience required - M.Sc. or higher degree in ge ology; - Work experience with geology in the Middle Eastern region; - Good understanding of play analysis, sequence stratigraphy and well correlations; - Good understanding of fractured carbonate reservoirs; - Experience in the structural geology of fold and thrust belts; - Good working knowledge of probabilistic resource assessment methods and risking; - Experience in interpretation of various data (2D/3D seismic, well logs, etc.); - Enthusiasm, good communication skills and ability to engage and motivate others; - Hands-on experience with exploration software packages (ArcGIS, Petrel, GeoX); - Fluency in English (spoken and written) My client aims for operational excellence in everything they do.
