 Reservoir Simulation Engineer - Abu Dhabi, United Arab EmiratesI am working with an operator in need of a Reservoir Simulation Engineer to develop their work in one of the largest fields in the world. My client adopts the latest technologies in developing and operating these oil fields, with health, safety and environment concerns in mind, making them a leading operating company in the U.A.E. You will be responsible for carrying out a variety of reservoir engineering studies related to defining reservoir characteristics and development plans, perform reservoir simulation studies aimed at optimizing oil recovery. Principal Accou ntabilities: •Collect basic data related to reservoir fluid properties from the field or laboratory report; this will include data from coring, logging, fluid sampling and well testing. •Carry out a detailed analysis on pressure, volume and temperature (PVT) and special core analysis (SCAL) data for use in deriving proper correlation for fluids and rock characteristics; this will include assembling, reviewing, and selecting, manipulating and analysing basic reservoir data from various sources. •Prepare all reservoir data for numerical simulation; maintain and update assigned data files on the computer, and input numerical model data from reservoir data maps or tabulations. •Carry out classical and special reservoir engineering studies, including performing hand calculation to check data accuracy before running computer model. •Analyse study results, check reservoir parameters and perform pressure history match to ensure reliability of results and discuss anomalies with Supervisor. •Carry out other similar or related duties such as preparing reservoir status report and providing advice or recommendations, as required.
