Planning Engineer - Doha, Qatar



Our client is a global Oil and Gas Operator and have recently commenced with a major new field development. The development will include the drilling of over 200 new wells, as well as the installation of all the facilities required to support these wells. These facilities will include platforms, jackets and fluid processing equipment with the total investment expected to be approximately $3 Billion.

In order for this Field Development plan to be a success, the Planning Team will be crucial. Our client is therefore looking to identify a Planning Engineer to support all Planning and Asset Development within the Business Unit.
Key responsibilities

•Acting as an integral part of both Planning and Asset Development, the Planning Engineer will incorporate financial and technical analysis in a cross-department integrated capacity.

•Coordinate closely with all stakeholders on reserve evaluations, production forecasting, AFE generation, and the tracking of both production and capex/opex spending.

•Develop a system evaluating a rolling 5-year activity plan for all operated fields

•Evaluate resource usage and identify opportunities for cost optimization

•Provide support on various reporting requirements for the host government

•Drive continuous improvement and increase efficiency in planning related activities



The client is looking for candidates with a Degree in Petroleum Engineering or at least a related discipline. The successful candidate should have a minimum of five years Oil and Gas experience, with either an Operations and/or Reservoir background. Experience in a Production Sharing Agreement would be strongly advantageous.
