 Senior Production Geologist - OmanMy client, a leading oil company, is recruiting for a Senior Production Geologist to support maturation activities and operations in clastic and carbonate reservoirs. The Senior Production Geologist will undertake and provide quality assurance for reservoir characterisation and geomodelling studies in order to assess reserves potential and development opportunities. You will also be required to provide input into field development activities and business plans and create and execute reservoir appraisal plans. The Senior Production Geologist will also provide guidance and transfer technically assured reservoir models and field development plans to various assets. The candidate will also identify areas where the acquisition of additional reservoir data would reduce uncertainties and assist in generating case forecasts capturing the impact of these risks. The Senior Production Geologist will play an active part in making sure that the quality of geomodelling meets the company standards and will also play in integral part in the coaching and mentoring of young staff in the organisation. Experience Required - University Degree in Geology and over 10 years industry experience - Strong commercial experience in Reservoir Characterisation and Geomodelling are essential - Knowledge of Volumetric Analysis and Seismic Interpretation would be beneficial - Strong leadership and communication skills - Experience with Water Flood or EOR projects would be advantageous This is an exciting position with an expanding company that has a reputation for technical excellence.
