Qualification - BSc in a related discipline

- Natural England Bat licence

- Driving licence

- Further qualifications anticipated

Experience - Demonstrable field surveying and report writing skills

- Relevant bat related experience

Salary - Negotiable depending on skills

Duties Include:

• Field surveys on general ecology issues, with a main focus on bat surveys

• Report writing and presentation

• Liaising with clients and other professionals

• Providing specialist advice and input into ecological projects

• Small scale project management

Typical Projects

As an ecologist with particular knowledge and experience in the field of bats you will join the existing team based in Cirencester and provide specialist input into ecological projects. You will be expected to carry out field surveys, report writing and liaise with other professionals to ensure the success of projects across the south west of England. You will provide advice to high profile clients and have a firm understanding of current legislation to ensure work is carried out in accordance with this.
