Qualification - BSc in related discipline as a minimum

- Professional membership of IEEM

- Driving licence

Location - Bristol, South West

Experience - Considerable relevant experience

- Demonstrable skills and knowledge in the field of ecology and EIAs

- Experience in public enquiries beneficial

Salary - £30,000 plus

Company - multinational consultancy

Staff - 17,000 worldwide

Duties Include:

• Field surveys and report writing

• Preparation of ecology chapters for Ecological Impact Assessments

• Implementing IEEM guidelines and ensuring work is carried out within current legislation

• Project and staff management

• Liaising with clients

• Business development

Typical Projects

As a senior ecologist working largely within EIAs you will manage projects and collaborate with other professionals to ensure projects are successfully completed on behalf of high profile clients. You will be expected to complete site visits and report writing and ensure work is carried out within current legislation and IEEM guidelines. You will prepare the ecological chapters for EIAs and build client relationships to ensure development of the business across the south west of England. From time to time you will have the opportunity to work on projects and assist other colleagues across the UK.
