Senior Botany Ecologist

Salary : £30K+

Qualification -BSc in a relevant discipline

-Full clean driving licence

Location -Croydon

Experience -Demonstrable relevant experience in phase 1 habitat surveys/ NVCs

- Demonstrable skills in report writing, project management and staff management

Salary -£30,000 plus

Company -Multidisciplinary consultancy

Duties Include:

  • Undertaking ecological field surveys

  • Liaising with other professionals and clients

  • Working on environmental projects for clients with a large focus on botany

  • Provide specialist botany advice

  • Report Writing

  • Project management

  • Staff management and mentoring

Typical Projects

As an ecologist you will be expected to undertake field surveys and write reports for clients, inputting your particular knowledge on Botany. Typical surveys that you will be expected to carry out include phase 1 habitat surveys and NVCs. You will join the existing expanding team based in Croydon and cover projects across south east England. You will be expected to liaise with clients and other professional on large scale projects and work effectively as a team leader to complete projects within budget and timescales. Managing and mentoring you staff you will ensure their continued development and the continued success of the environmental department. You will also be expected to cover ecological projects such as protected species surveys and EIAs.
