Senior BREEAM/ Built Environment Consultant

Birmingham, UK

Salary : £30K+

Qualification- Relevant degree, Membership of an appropriate environmental, architectural or sustainability body. BREEAM qualifications. A driving licence is essential due to the nature of the role.

Location- Birmingham

Experience- Previous experience in the sustainability and built environment field, experience within a consultancy environment desirable. Demonstrable strong technical skills gained, good knowledge of UK and International assessment tools, i.e. BREEAM, LEED, CfSH.

Salary- £30,000 plus (negotiable on skills)

Company- Multidisciplinary Consultancy

Staff- 3000 UK staff

Duties Include:

  • Supporting and developing the existing team

  • Assisting in the technical management of the national team

  • Building and maintaining the client base

  • Undertaking a wide variety of sustainability projects

  • Working in the fields of BREEAM, CfSH, etc- undertaking assessments

  • Staff management and mentoring

Typical Projects

Joining the existing team based in Birmingham you will take on a diverse and challenging role, further enhancing and developing the expanding BREEAM team.

You will be Managing and mentoring staff in your team and collaborating with other professionals on large scale projects, also developing the business and further building the existing client and project base. Your work will involve BREEAM, CEEQUAL, CfSH and LEED assessments and advice, in projects relating to Retail, Schools, residential and industrial buildings, in which you will be able to successfully carry out relevant assessments and produce subsequent reports and proposals, within current UK and EU legislation and policy frameworks.

You will also be responsible for scoping and estimating work, and preparing bids.
