Aerospace Project Engineer Cardiff, UK Ref: CMP3829Salary : £25 - 30K+This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading aerospace engineering and design consultancy, working on exciting, often bespoke, projects. Based in Cardiff, you will work within a dynamic and committed engineering team, and also enjoy the opportunity to travel overseas for projects. Qualification- Candidates for this role will ideally hold a degree in engineering, with a further MSc / PhD (engineering) advantageous. The successful candidate for this role will be working, or at, Chartered engineer status and hold additional training in FE analysis. Location- Cardiff, South Wales Experience- Candidates for this role will demonstrate previous experience in the aerospace/ avionic industry, with demonstrable knowledge and skills in FE Analysis, CAD systems and aerospace design and quality standards. Typical Projects Working as a project engineer you will support the Engineering Manager in the design and development of products for the aerospace / avionic industry. Typical products you will work on include bespoke aerial delivery systems, ejector seats, parachutes etc. You will be responsible for managing projects and for ensuring that products are tested fully to current safety standards and are in line with relevant MoD and DoD requirements. In the role you will have the opportunity to flex you creative side in working on bespoke engineering projects, including the mechanical design of new Ariel delivery systems and updating existing design specifications, ensuring products are designed and tested to the highest safety, strength and durability standards.
