Senior Arboricultural Consultant

An excellent opportunity has arisen within this expanding multidisciplinary consultancy for an experienced Arboricultural consultant to join their Birmingham office, to assist in the development of a Midlands based Arboriculture team.

Qualification- Candidates for this role are anticipated to hold a relevant academic background- a HND/ Degree in Arboriculture is desirable, as is professional membership of AA. The ideal candidate will also be QTRA licenced, and a full clean driving licence is a requirement of the role.

Location- Midlands – flexible

Experience- Candidates are anticipated to hold experience in the arboriculture consultancy field – including work on TPO, BS5837, Risk assessment, tree health surveys and woodland / tree management plans.

Those with experience of working within a multidisciplinary environment and experience of staff and project management will be at an advantage.

Duties Include:

  • Providing expert arboriculture advice to internal and external clients

  • Leading and managing the Midlands based Arboriculture team

  • Collaborating with teams UK wide on large scale projects

  • Business development across the Midlands area

  • Preparing tree surveys

  • Tree hazard assessments. Risk assessments

  • Undertaking surveys in accordance with BS5837 to accompany planning applications

  • Using appropriate software – GIS, GPS, tree database management systems

  • Technical report writing

Typical Projects

Working on a variety of projects you will support the environmental and asset management team within the consultancy, working on projects to advise on arboriculture issues related to planning and developments including work for highways, transport infrastructure and landscaping sectors. You will work with public and private sector clients.
