An excellent opportunity exists for an experience EIA Consultant to join this leading UK consultancy, to work within the Renewable energy team and lead EIA projects in relation to Wind, Hydro and bio energy developments. The consultancy have offices UK wide, and the role can be flexible on location for the right candidate.

Qualification- Candidates are anticipated to hold a BSc / MSc in a relevant environmental discipline, with full / chartered membership of an appropriate professional body.

Location- Bristol

Experience- Suitable candidates will hold considerable experience of leading large scale EIA projects for a variety of Renewable / low carbon energy schemes, with an in-depth knowledge of relevant environmental management policies and legislation and impact studies. Those with experience of offshore wind schemes will be at an advantage.

Salary- Commensurate with skills and experience, anticipated to be in the region of £40,000 plus.

Company- Multidisciplinary international consultancy

Duties Include:

• Leading large scale EIA projects

• Managing and mentoring a team of staff

• Supporting the principal engineer

• Liaise with clients and other statutory bodies

• Report writing and review

• Undertaking environmental studies and assessments

Typical Projects

Working on renewable energy projects you will lead and coordinate EIA projects, providing expert environmental and legislation advice to clients. You will be expected to undertake some environmental assessment work, and mange mid- large scale EIA projects.

Current areas of work include Wind, Bio and hydro energy developments.
