This multidisciplinary consultancy currently have an exciting opportunity for a senior Arboricultural consultant to join their Colchester based team. Working on various projects across the UK, you will lead a team of Arboriculturalists, ecologists and landscape planners and architects to provide high quality consultancy and design services for public and private sector clients.

You will take a lead on client liaising, and ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with current legislation and policy. Mentoring and managing multidisciplinary teams, you will use your knowledge of ecology, arboriculture and landscaping to assist in the further development of the teams and skills of individuals. Although this role will predominantly be involved in staff management and client liaising, you will also have the opportunity to undertake environmental / field assessments.

Ideal candidates for this role will hold a relevant academic background in Arboriculture/ forestry / landscape (BSc/ MSc) or similar, and membership of appropriate professional bodies. Those at Chartered status will be at an advantage, as will those with working experience in a public and private environment, A detailed knowledge f the UK planning system is a requirement of the role, as is experience and ability to mentor staff in the arboriculture, ecology and landscape fields.
