Arboricultural surveyor  

North England

Salary : £19 - 23K

An excellent opportunity to join one of the UKs leading environmental consultancies- providing expert arboriculture advice to a variety of clients in the rail and utility sectors.

Qualification- Candidates for this role will ideally hold a relevant degree / ND in Arboriculture or forestry, professional membership of a relevant body and PTS/ IWA certificates.

A full clean driving licence is also a requirement of the role.

Location- Home based across the north of England (Leeds and surrounding regions ideal)

Experience- Suitable candidates for this role will demonstrate previous experience of working in the arboriculture field, with a detailed knowledge of a variety of tree and vegetation surveys risk assessments and hazard assessments.

Salary- £19-23,000 (depending on skills and experience)

Duties Include:

  • Working as part of a team, supporting the senior arboriculturalists

  • Tree surveys

  • Vegetation surveys

  • Risk / hazard assessments

  • Preparing work specifications

  • Preparing tree and land management plans

  • Liaising with clients and landowners

Typical Projects

The role will largely be focused on providing support to the large number of rail contracts the consultancy has secured, you will be carrying out tree and vegetation surveys along rail tracks, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations.

You will work within a team of qualified arborists, liaising with clients and landowners to provide full tree and land management services. Other projects you may have the opportunity to get involved with include utility and local authority contracts.
