An excellent opportunity awaits an established environmental consultant with a detailed knowledge of Arboriculture and Ecology, within this small but busy and expanding consultancy based in the South East. You will take on the senior role, and assist in the day to day running of the multidisciplinary team, and supporting the directors in client liaising and business development activities.

Qualification- Candidates for this role are anticipated to hold a relevant degree/ MSc in Arboriculture / Ecology / Similar, and be a Chartered Arboriculturalist / part 4 Landscape Architect.

Location- Colchester

Experience- Candidates are anticipated to hold previous experience in managing and leading a multidisciplinary environmental team, and hold demonstrable experience in liaising with clients and a detailed knowledge of the UK planning system. As you will be leading a multidisciplinary environmental team, leading and mentoring staff, you will be expected to hold a detailed knowledge of Arboriculture and Ecology.

Salary- £30,000- 45,000

Duties Include:

• managing and mentoring a team of Arborists, Ecology and Landscape consultants

• Liaising with clients

• Supporting the directors in business development activities

• Report writing and review

• Field surveys as required

• Project management

The consultancy is currently involved a wide range of projects, including work on airport developments, highways schemes, infrastructure schemes, residential and leisure developments.
