This international consultancy currently has an urgent requirement for an experienced ecologist to join their office based near Reading. Working as part of the nationwide ecology team you will work on a variety of projects across the South East of the UK. The successful candidate for this role will be a good all round ecologist with some previous experience of managing staff and projects.

Qualification- BSc / MSc in Ecology / similar, Full membership of IEEM, Protected species licence (s), full clean driving licence.

Location- Reading, South East

Experience- Previous ecology consultancy experience, skill sin protected species and habitat surveying, botany skills, report writing and project management experience. Tendering and staff management experience is advantageous.

Salary- £25-35,000 (depending on skills and experience)

Company- Multidisciplinary consultancy

Duties Include:

• Planning and undertaking ecological surveys

• Scoping and desk based studies

• Report writing

• Staff management

• Ecological mitigation design and advice

• Preparation of NE disturbance licences

• Travel to field sites

• Liaising with clients
