This expanding environmental consultancy currently has an urgent requirement for an experienced ecologist to join their office based near Swindon. Working as part of the established ecology team you will work on a variety of projects across the South West of the UK. The successful candidate for this role will be a good all round ecologist with some previous experience of managing staff and projects.

Qualification- BSc / MSc in Ecology / similar, Full membership of IEEM, Protected species licence (s) (Bat licence advantageous), full clean driving licence.

Location- South West

Experience- Previous ecology consultancy experience, skills in protected species (bats of particular interest) and habitat surveying, botany skills, report writing and project management experience. Tendering and staff management experience is advantageous.

Salary- £25-30,000 (depending on skills and experience)

Duties Include:

• Planning and undertaking ecological surveys

• Scoping and desk based studies

• Report writing

• Staff management

• Ecological mitigation design and advice

• Preparation of NE disturbance licences, experience of CCW licences advantageous

• Travel to field sites

• Liaising with clients
