This international multidisciplinary consultancy currently have an exce4llent opportunity for a senior ecologist to join their team based in the South East. The opportunity exists for an experienced ecologist with a proven track record gained in a consultancy environment, with skills in EIA and project management.

The successful candidate for this role will hold demonstrable experience in managing a variety of ecology and EIA based projects and staff management. Your professional experience will be supported by a relevant / ecology based degree / MSc, full membership of IEEM, protected species licence (s) and working towards or presently at chartered status. A full clan driving licence is a requirement of the roel due to travel involved.

The role is to be based in Basingstoke, and the salary is dependant on skills and experience but anticipate to be in the region of £30-35,000. On offer is also a comprehensive benefits package and excellent future career opportunities.

In this role you will work on projects across a variety of sectors, ranging from highways through to renewable energy and residential developments. Typical duties will include planning and undertaking field surveys, designing and implementing mitigation strategies, report writing – including chapters for EIA, preparing licence applications and staff management / mentoring.
