Arboricultural Consultant – Essex- Permanent opportunity

Salary : £16-25K+

This market leading multidisciplinary consultancy have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Arboricultural consultant to join their team based in Essex.

Qualification- Candidates for this role will ideally hold a degree/ND/ equivalent qualification in Arboriculture or forestry, and hold membership of an appropriate professional body.

Experience- ideal candidates for this role will hold post graduate work experience in the arboriculture field, with demonstrable knowledge of tree surveys and inspections, tree database management and providing expert advice for planning applications and reports. It is anticipated that the successful candidates will hold previous experience of working within an arboriculture consultancy, local authority or private forestry and landscape companies. Those with experience of Tree Hazard surveys and Subsidence reports will be at an advantage.

The successful candidate will also hold excellent tree ID knowledge.

Salary – Negotiable on experience- £16-25,000 plus benefits scheme

Duties Include:

  • Tree inspections

  • Tree Surveys

  • Tree database management

  • Use of GIS and hand held data capture devices

  • Managing projects and Arboricultural contracts

  • Tree advice for planning applications and reports

  • Travel to field sits across the UK

  • Hazard surveys

  • Assisting on other environmental projects when required eg ecology

Typical Projects:

Working on large scale development projects, including transport, aviation, highways and residential / mixed use projects, you will provide specialist arboriculture consultancy services to clients in both the public and private sectors.

Other examples of projects that you can expect to get involved with include woodland management plans and working on multidisciplinary projects for habitat enhancement and biodiversity projects, and nationwide TPO projects.
