Consultant Ecotoxicologist

Salary : £21-27K+

This expanding multidisciplinary consultancy currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced toxicologist with an environmental science background to join their Cambridge based team, to work on a variety of projects relating to aquatic toxicology, ecology and environmental impacts.

Qualification- Applicants are anticipated to hold a relevant degree- Environmental Science / Natural Sciences or similar, and as full clean driving license.

Location- Cambridge- commutable locations; Boxworth, Newmarket, Ely, St Ives, Huntingdon, Bedford

Experience- Candidates are anticipated to hold previous experience in the ecotoxicology field, with specific knowledge of aquatic ecotoxicology, principals of GLP, and regulatory guidelines, experienced gained in a CRO or consultancy environment is advantageous.

Salary- £21-27,000 pa plus benefits

Duties Include:

  • Assisting the senior consultant in the delivery of ecotoxicological consultancy and research projects

  • Supporting and mentoring junior toxicologists

  • Liaising with clients, providing expert advice, cross selling services

  • Project management

  • Presenting findings to clients – in written and oral forms

  • Collating and interpreting ecotoxicological data and preparing reports

  • Using and developing statistical methodologies

  • Working within the principals of GLP

Typical Projects:

Working within this multidisciplinary consultancy you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects with clients in the public and private sector. You will predominantly work on consultancy and research projects relating to aquatic ecotoxicology.
