This award winning consultancy are currently looking to expand its Cambridge ecology team with the addition of an experienced ornithologist. The opportunity arises with the continued increase in workload across the South East, with projects in the Energy, Transport and Residential sectors.

Qualification- Candidates for this role are anticipated to hold a relevant degree in the natural sciences, supported by professional qualifications and memberships (IEEM). Due to the nature of the role a full clean diving license is required.

Location- Cambridge, South East

Experience- Applicants for this role are expected to demonstrate a wide range of ornithological surveying skills and knowledge of ornithological impact issues and British bird ID. The client is very interested in receiving CVs of consultants with specific experience in inertial waterfowl ecology.

Salary- £25-30,000

Company- Multidisciplinary consultancy

Duties Include:

• Managing ornithological surveys

• Survey analysis and report writing

• Staff management

• Liaising with clients

• Working on EIA projects, specifically assessment of impacts on birds and their habitats

• Working within the multidisciplinary environmental team on large scale development projects

Current projects include pipeline developments, infrastructure schemes and highways developments and improvements. There is also opportunity to work on renewable energy and research projects across the UK.
