Marine EIA Consultant Oxford Ref: CMP4434Salary : £40K+This leading international consultancy has an extensive list of national public and private sector clients across the UK, and provides expert environmental consultancy services for developments in the energy, power and water sectors. Due to an increased demand for their environmental services and a large number of high profile projects currently taking place, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced EIA consultant / project manager to join the team based in Oxford (Other locations may be considered). The successful candidate will join the Environmental team and work on projects supporting developments in the off shore renewable energy sector – wind and tidal projects in particular- and Power sectors- eg. Pipeline developments. Qualification- Candidates for this role are anticipated to be at or working towards Chartered environmentalist status, and hold full membership of a professional body. A relevant academic background with a BSc / MSc in an environmental discipline is anticipated, and a full clean driving license is required. Experience- Suitable candidates will demonstrate a strong background in environmental consultancy, with previous experience in a similar level role, and a proven track record in managing large scale EIA projects. Local knowledge will be an advantage but not essential, it is anticipated that the successful candidate will hold previous experience of working on EIA projects for off shore wind farm developments. Those with demonstrable skills in business development will be at an advantage. You will manage and mentor a team of staff and also assist the directors in business development activities and liaising with clients.
