One of the UK's leading consultancies currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced ecologist to join their Glasgow team. Working as a Principal Ecologist you will support the technical director in the day to day running of the team and work on a variety of ecology projects across Scotland including protected species and habitat surveys.

Qualification- Candidate s for this role are anticipated to hold a relevant academic background with a BSc / MSc in Ecology / Zoology / Similar, Full / Chartered membership of IEEM, and protected species licenses.

Location- Glasgow – Scotland

Experience- The successful candidate will hold previous experience in the ecology consultancy field with strong skills in staff and project management, business development and EIA projects. Those with Upland vegetation surveying experience and strong botany skills will be at an advantage.

Salary- £30-45,000- negotiable on skills and experience

Duties Include:

• Assist in the growth and development of the ecology team across Scotland

• Project management

• Business development

• Client liaising

• Staff management and mentoring

• Planning and undertaking ecological surveys

• Preparing chapters and reviewing technical reports for EIA, ES

• Tender and bid preparation
