An experienced Consultant is urgently sought by my client in Edinburgh as part of an expansion of their Water Resources team. This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join a market leading consultancy and work on a variety of projects for clients in both the private and public sectors. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years consultancy experience, be working toward Chartered status and be driven to excelling in their chosen career through further training and professional development.

Qualification - MSc in Hydrology / Water Management / Catchment Planning or similar

Experience – 2 years consultancy experience

Salary - £25-£30k

Company - International multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy

Staff - 2000

Typical Duties

• Water resource planning.

• Hydrological water modelling.

• Data gathering and analysis.

• Liaising with clients and third parties.

• Acting as Project Manager where appropriate for small to medium size projects.

Typical projects

Projects will typically include flood risk assessments, EIAs and drainage and water management studies. You will also be expected to carry out hydrogeological assessments, draught orders and low flows for water companies. Projects will typically be located around the Scottish central belt, although there is also possibility for working elsewhere in the UK.
