Geo-Environmental Engineer

Qualifications: BSc in geology, geosciences, earth sciences, environmental science or equivalent environmental disciplines

Experience: ideally some proven work experience in the field would be ideal

My client has an outstanding reputation as an award winning, international environmental and engineering consultancy. They specialise in buildings, transportation and environmental services. They currently employ over 3000 people covering 30 offices across the UK and Europe and they annual turnover is in excess of £160 million.

Duties:

• Logging samples

• Trial pitting

• Writing factual and interpretive reports

• Client liaison

• Supervising site works

• Undertaking ground investigations

• Geotechnical interpretation

Typical projects

My client work on a large variety of differing projects simultaneously meaning the work is always varied and fast paced. A recent project was the construction of the Lea Bridge Roundabout in London.

This role will have a strong focus on contaminated land, carrying out desk studies as well and being in the field carrying out site investigations.
