A multidisciplinary consultancy with an office in the West Midlands is recruiting for an experienced Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their team in Birmingham. This client have been established in the marketplace for over 100 years and work within a multitude of sectors. For this particular role the client are looking for someone preferably will experience of Brownfield regeneration projects and also experience of working within the transport sector would be advantageous.

The successful applicant must have several years previous experience in a similar role and have experience of carrying out quantitative risk assessments and interpretive report writing. An MSc in a discipline such as Environmental Engineering is also preferred but other relevant Environmental and Engineering degrees will be considered.

Duties

• Phase I desk studies - identifying historical site use

• Designing and carrying out site investigations

• Accurately logging data and samples

• Quantitative risk assessments

• Interpretive report writing

Typical projects

The majority of the projects you will be working on will be Brownfield regeneration projects and other developments within the transport and water sectors. These will be based mainly in the West Midlands but you will be required to travel to other parts of the UK for certain assignments.
