Qualification – Degree qualified in an earth science or ground engineering discipline. An MSc is desirable (e.g. Engineering Geology or Contaminated Land)

Experience - Exposure to both geotechnical and geoenvironmental site investigations via a consultancy or contractor

Salary - £18-25k (negotiable and commensurate with experience)

Company - Ground Engineering Consultancy

Duties:

• Design and implementation of phase 1 and 2 investigations

• Collating and reporting data in a factual and interpretative form

• Gas and water monitoring

• Window sampling

• Borehole logging

• Client liaison, both on and off site

• Trial pitting

• Desk studies

Typical Project:

Phased contaminated land investigations, working with a ground investigation team covering the East Midlands region
