Our client is a leading environmental and engineering consultancy and they currently are looking for an experienced environmental consultant to join its team in Wiltshire. You will be involved in integrated wastewater management research, seeking solutions to diffuse pollution in an environmentally friendly manner. This is a varied and challenging role where you will be working on a range of river and coastal pollution modelling investigations for public and private sector clients

Qualifications – A first degree in an environmental science discipline (e.g. Geography). Followed by an MSc in a civil engineering or water resources discipline.

Experience - Proven work history within the field of river and coastal modelling, especially in relation to the water quality of river catchment systems and coastal waters

Salary - £30-35k plus extensive benefits (flexible and depends on relevant experience)

Company - International Water Consultancy

Staff - Nearly 200 UK employees

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Use of modelling packages including; SIMCAT, MIKE11, Infoworks and SWAT.

• Water quality modelling

• Study of physical/chemical processes in urban and rural catchments

• Conceptual modelling of processes for complete catchment systems

• Keeping up to date with EU and UK legislation, seeing how these would influence conceptual models

• Building and using simulation models to assess contaminant inputs

• Occasional travel across the UK and overseas

• Extensive client liaison, including the delivery of presentations
