A world renowned consultancy is currently looking for an experienced geotechnical engineer to join its ground/environmental engineering team in Cambridge. This will be a diverse and technically challenging role for an ambitious engineer who wants to play a key role in the continued expansion of the services offered from this office. As well as developing your technical skill set, you will be able to develop yourself as a manager within a top bracket company.

Qualifications – Civil Engineering (or related) first degree with an MSc/PhD in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology. A Chartered geotechnical engineer.

Experience - A proven background of working on multiple concurrent projects, as well as representing a company to clients (new and established)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Regional Director

• Management of a small team of engineers

• Evaluation and definition of geotechnical requirements for projects

• Preparation of proposals

• Client liaison

• Management of geotechnical projects

• Quality control and technical input

• Technical leadership and development of team members

• Financial control of projects

• Technical report writing

• Peer reviewing of colleagues work

• Involvement in business development, recruitment and marketing
