An exciting opportunity has arisen within an award winning environmental engineering consultancy present in a range of disciplines with offices across the globe. A Senior/Principal Acoustic Consultant is urgently sought to manage the Noise Team as Deputy Noise Team Leader in the firm’s highways division based in Portsmouth. You will possess a proven track record in and be responsible for Project management, business development and mentoring of junior staff. Salary: £35K - £45K dependent on experience + Bonus, Benefits

Qualifications:

• Degree or similar in acoustics/vibration related field

• Member of the IOA

• Ideally second Degree in acoustics/vibration related field

• Preferably Chartered status.

Experience:

• Proven technical ability in terms of problem solving and analytical thinking;

• Business development experience;

• Ability to manage time, resources and projects effectively; and,

• Commitment to CPD;

• Willing and able to work within team environment and involve others where necessary;

• Innovative thinker;

• Seeks opportunities to develop relationships with clients;

• Seeks solutions for clients whilst taking account of needs of all stakeholders;

• Able to write technical reports;

• Ability to actively mentor junior staff

• Fantastic personal communication skills.

Duties:

• Management of the Noise Team as Deputy Noise Team Leader

• Project Management

• Marketing and Business Development

• Mentoring of junior staff

• Taking the lead technical role (noise and vibration) on projects.

• Expert advice in inquiries and planning appeals
