An exciting opportunity has arisen within a highly respected organisation, established by UK acousticians, providing a full range of sound and vibration instrumentation services including Sales, Hire, Traceable and UKAS-Accredited Calibration and Repairs to a wide range of clients across the UK. Due to organic growth an Acoustic Calibration Manager is urgently required to build and lead a team of calibration specialists out of their UKAS accredited Acoustic Calibration laboratory based in Luton. The successful candidate will have considerable experience of working within an acoustic calibration lab to traceable national standards and have a proven track record of people management and implementing new systems, writing spreadsheets and installing hardware. Salary: Generous Salary, dependent on experience

Qualifications:

• Ideally qualified to degree level in Acoustics/Noise and Vibration

Experience:

• Previous experience working within an acoustic calibration lab to traceable national standards.

• Previous experience of implementing new systems, writing spreadsheets and installing hardware

Duties:

• Acoustic calibration of sound calibrators, pistonphones and sound level meters

• Calibration of octave band and third octave band filters

• Frequency response and linearity of Noise Recording Instrumentation

• Traceable calibration of vibration instrumentation

• Traceable acoustic calibration of instrumentation, including sound calibrators, sound level meters, personal sound exposure meters and microphones.
