Due to a consistent increase in workload our client, a leading multidisciplinary consultancy with expertise in energy, sustainability, infrastructure, landscape design, mining and waste working closely with clients in both public and private sectors have a requirement for an Environmental Consultant with a strong background in acoustics and other areas of environmental consultancy i.e. air quality

Salary: £20-25K dependent on experience

Qualifications:

• Degree qualified in Environmental Science or a relevant subject area

• Ideally IOA Diploma

• MIOA

Experience:

• Previous acoustic consultancy experience relating to environmental impact assessments

• Ideally experience of air quality consultancy

• Good communication skills

• Commercially aware and team player

• Advanced communication skills

• A keen interest in other areas of environmental consultancy

• Experience using modeling packages

Duties:

• Measurement surveys and reporting

• Atmospheric dispersion modeling (ADMS Roads, Breeze packages)

• Noise Impact Assessments (including Environmental Impact Assessment)

• Liaising with consultants, engineers and architects

• Writing high quality reports

• Preparation of inputs for Environmental Statements

• Excel based data manipulation

• Sound insulation testing and advice on remedial treatment

• Undertaking noise assessment site visits all over the UK

Projects:

Delivering a number of exciting and substantial projects within the divisions of transportation, construction, manufacturing, nuclear development, residential, waste disposal, gas/energy.
