Geo-Environmental Department Manager

South Midlands, UK

Salary: £40K+

Qualification: You will have a minimum of a BSc in environmental science, environmental geoscience, contaminated land, civil engineering, engineering geology or similar.

Experience: It is essential that you have proven consultancy experience along with a sound working background in geo-environmental engineering. You will be confident and proficient at delivering both consultancy and managerial services to this already established team. Ideally you will be working your way towards chartership although this is not essential.

Salary: £40,000 + benefits package

Duties:

  • Management and supervision of site investigations and walkovers

  • Costing and budgeting of projects

  • Undertaking groundwater and human health risk assessments; use of CLEA, P20 and CONSIM

  • Management and mentoring of staff as necessary

  • Aiding in departmental business development which will include assisting the director with tender preparation and project bids

Typical Projects:

This ground engineering consultancy are currently involved in a variety of projects ranging from Olympic projects through to small house extensions. They are renowned for innovative use and development of drilling rig technology such as the Pioneer rotary and the P60 Slope Climbing Rig which has become an invaluable tool. This is a genuine opportunity to join this friendly, pioneering team based in Gloucester and aid in the management of this existing team who have a solid current workload.
