Geotechnical Consultant

Qualification: You will ideally have a BSc or MSc in geotechnical or civil engineering, applied geology, engineering geology or similar. The ideal candidate will be an affiliate if not an associate member of a relevant organisation although this is not essential.

Experience: It is essential that you have a proven working background in geotechnical engineering preferably with geotechnical and foundation design experience. A working knowledge of Holebase, Slope W and Wallop will be advantageous along with technical integrity knowledge.

Salary: £28-35,000 neg

Duties:

• Design, supervision and conduction of SI's

• Budgeting and financial forecasting

• Writing/ checking project reports

• Slope stability and foundation investigations

• Numerical analysis for geotechnical design

• Project management

This world renowned consultancy are in the midst of developing their presence in both the Cardiff and Swansea cities of South Wales and as such are looking to recruit geotechnical consultants and engineers to join these offices and aid in the expansion. Current projects range from refinery works to flood defence projects along with brownfield and commercial development and regeneration projects.
