Structural CAD Draughtsman

Qualifications: It is essential that you have a minimum of a HNC or HND, the ideal candidate will have a BSc, MSc or BEng in civil or structural engineering or related discipline.

Experience: It is essential that you have a demonstrable CAD background, preferably within a structures environment and ideally will have experience in client management and business development also.

Salary: £neg dependant upon experience

Duties:

• Developing initial designs, particularly in relation to commercial and residential developments

• Examining sites to assess structural quality/ analysing structural components

• Inspecting work at risk of collapse and advising on measures to improve structural integrity

• Liaising with contractors

• Use of CAD technology for simulation purposes

They currently have an opportunity on their structures team for a CAD draughtsman to assist in the development and solutions to current projects; predominantly involving new house builds. This is an excellent opportunity to join this established structures team and to aid in both their current projects along with assisting in the commercial aspect of business development in order to win new projects. This environmental consultancy are an approved ICE trainer and are committed to progressing their employees to chartered status. You will be an innate pioneer with a sound background in structural engineering and design.
