Contaminated Land Consultant

Qualification: Ideal candidates will have a BSc or MSc in Earth Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, Geochemistry or related.

Experience: It is essential that you have proven experience of working as a contaminated land consultant previously and will preferably have a solid background in project management. Prior risk assessment experience will be beneficial as will consultancy experience.

Salary: £25-30,000

Duties:

• Design and delivery of geo-environmental investigations to include;

• Undertaking phase 1 desk studies and site walkovers

• Gas and groundwater monitoring and reporting

• In situ testing of soil and groundwater

• Phase 2 investigations along with logging soil and rock samples in accordance to BS5930

• Undertaking qualitative, semi-qualitative and quantitative risk assessments; use of CLEA, SNIFFER software

• Landfill design and delivery of remedial proposals

• Factual and interpretive report writing

Typical Projects:

Currently involved in a mixture of investigation projects which include urban centre sites, industrial facilities, gasworks, chemical works, brownfield land and waste disposal facilities projects.
